Dear Campus Revolutionaries!!
Greetings, everyone! It's been a while since the last mail, but it's only because many good things are happening! I pray that you've been walking the talk and making Jesus famous on campus!
Visited Melaka a couple of days ago to speak at Multimedia University (MMU), it was a great time preaching at the Christian Fellowship, but even more fun meeting up with the MMU Melaka CampusRevo group! The group is currently led by John Zach and is averaging about 7-8 people! Found out that recently during the start of the fasting month, they went around and blessed the campus security guards who are Muslims with drinks during their Buka Puasa! Great stuff! Keep it up guys!
Besides the awesome things that are happening in Malaysia through CampusRevo, by God's grace our movement is also slowly going to places we never once imagined would go.
I've got very very good news people, are you ready for this? OK, here we go: Campus Revolution has officially gone international!
In the last two weeks, we have had two new Campus Revo groups started in India and Australia! Woots!
Campus Revolutionary Lim Sue Ting (formerly from KTT Campus Revo) has started a group in Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences in Kerala, India!
She tweeted on August 9, "KIMS India had our first campus revo tis morn. Came bec fro our first prayer walk around d campus. We are all set 2 make His name famous!" WOW!
As for Australia, Campus Revolutionary Joshua Song (formerly from Taylor's College Campus Revo) has started a group in Holmesgen Institute, Melbourne!
So the next time you feel alone when doing Campus Revo, be encouraged by the fact that you're joined by other brave, courageous, on-fire and radical-for-Jesus campus students not only from all over Malaysia, but in India and Australia as well!
It's time for Malaysia to rise up, and YES, we are doing it! So what are you waiting for, get out there and do great exploits for GOD!
Conviction. Courage. Commitment. Continuity.

Dear Campus Revolutionaries!
Greetings, everyone! I hope you guys are still going strong and making a difference in your respective campuses. The Holy Spirit is undoubtedly doing great things amongst all of you. Let's continue to keep strong and be faithful to what God has called us to do.
For your information and rejoicing, here are some updates to what's happening in the movement:
Dear Campus Revolutionaries!
Greetings again everyone! It's been a while since we last sent out some Campus Revo updates and that's just because we were a bit busy preparing and running the RE:UNION a.k.a Revolution Conference KL.
For those of you who couldn't make it, you can always check out the videos and pictures available here onwww.urtherevolution.com
God's been doing amazing things through Campus Revo since the conference. Among the good news is that we've got an additional 3 campuses (Nilai University College, Universiti Teknologi MARA Main Campus and University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kampar) signed up, raising the total count for campuses with CampusRevo to 33 nationwide.
That's right! To date we have 9 states represented within the Campus Revo movement. They are: Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Kedah, Ipoh, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur! Praise God!
Below is a testimony from one of our latest Campus Revo groups, so here goes:
Lynette from UiTM Main Campus wrote:
"Last week I just had a desire for more of God, to do more for our campus, instead of just keeping the love of God and testimonies to ourselves. Been a few weeks since we really went out to do something for our campus. I felt led to do something for our female lecturers as Mother’s Day was coming up.
During CampusRevo, after seeking God to show us what to do, a few of us got the same leading. So we all agreed to put some money together and listed down our female lecturers' names and decided to buy chocolates for them. Each chocolate would also come with a hand-written note of appreciation, there were 40 lecturers on our list. But we also didn't want to just impact the lecturers only, we were desperate to make an impact among the students too.
We decided to meet Monday at 12.30PM, to distribute the chocolates. Before we met for CR, I had a class with one of the lecturers on the list. At first I thought of just sharing what we were doing to my friends, so they too can appreciate our lecturer, then I felt a stronger feeling to stand up and share what we were planning to do for the lecturers to my whole class, but the lecturer was still in the class and I didn’t know how to go about it.
I put my head down, writing, when I looked up again, I noticed the lecturer had walked out of the class. I was thinking, "Is this a sign?" Nervously I shared it with my non-Christian friend whom I had previously shared CampusRevo about to, and she encouraged me to go ahead. LOL.
So I did it, stood up and told the whole class. There were a few that responded and were keen on joining in, some were even wanting to contribute some money for the chocolates.
After the chocolates went out, these are the testimonies that have come out so far, with still more on the way: two lecturers were really touched by it, one of them who was not having a good day said that when she got this from the students it just made her day and brought her to tears.
Another lecturer said she always felt like it was impossible for God to love her and our gift really reassured her of God's love.
Another Campus Revolutionary also felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to share our mission to the whole class but was feeling shy. But backed by another Campus Revolutionary in her class, she got the courage, shared it with her class and from that act of obedience, there are two girls who are now interested in joining CampusRevo, and another one wanting to come to church on Sunday.
When the lecturer in that class got the chocolates and notes, she started crying and left to share it with the other lecturers in the staff room. There was another lecturer who couldn't believe that there were still young people who believed so much in their God and was willing to express their faith so openly. More testimonies are pouring in and will update you guys more next week.
We are so grateful to God for giving us this opportunity, believing for more of HIM and that the seeds sown will bear much more fruit."
"Hi Pr. Dave! Normally, Campus Revo in UiTM starts around 1pm but my class for this semester ends by 11am. On every other day , I will either go to the library or find friends to go 'makan' straight after class. After that, we all meet at Ausmat cafe for Campus Revo.
On that Wednesday (31/3), after class I felt an urge to stay in class so I decided to stay on in class and wait for time to pass before Campus Revo. I was singing to myself and trying to do some math homework while being alone in class when a cleaner came into my class by herself (around 12pm). She was alone so I decided to talk to her. Somehow or another, I told her about a group of Christians wanting to bless the school and I asked her whether we could help out with the cleaning next time.
She told me that she has to work from 8 am to 5 pm and around this time she would be cleaning the highest floor in the ALM block (the cool A- Level Medicine block). She couldn't understand why we wanted to help so after much persuading, she allowed us to help on the coming Wed. When I saw her talking to some other cleaners, I told the others the same thing too.
After that in Campus Revo, I shared this with my fellow Campus Revolutionaries (Cedric, Larry, Ji Dian, Ja Houng, Nicole, Jan, Sheila, Philip) and how I didn't expect that God will use my free time in class as an opportunity to bless others.
So on the coming Wed (7/4) we decided to help them clean the highest floor. Many students asked why we were cleaning for the cleaners so I told them about Campus Revo. Most of them gave us weird stares, some say "Wah, you are so good" and others didn't even bother about what we are doing.
Sometimes, I feel discouraged. I admit that sometimes I feel weird telling people that I am doing something for God but somehow I know that I have purposed in my heart to obey Him, I felt the courage to say it. I know that doing this is not a waste of time as God's love is poured out through us to bless our campus and we have to pay a price to share that love.
At the end of everything, we went to the cleaners room and returned the brooms. We told them that everything is cleaned so the kakak and her friends can take the day off. I know that in the end when I see the kakak smiling it really paid off. She deserves to know that Jesus cares deeply for her. And by sending strangers who can't really speak fluent Malay to help her, it is His way of saying "I love you" to her. To God be all the glory."
Dear Campus Revolutionaries!
We had a really good time at "Revolution Tours: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan" last week. If you want to see some of the pictures and the reports, please hop on over to www.urtherevolution.com . The testimony I want to share this week is also related to Revo@Nilai. It's the story about a girl who chose not to go to her prom, so she could sow into Revo@Nilai. What conviction and commitment!
Campus Revolutionary Eunice Pui (International Medical University):
"Last week during Campus Revo, I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to go spend some time with my uni friends and share with them about what I'm doing in church & stuff. I really didn't know how to so I just prayed and ask God to open doors.
Next morning, I went with 5 other classmates to Seremban for our clinical visit. We left really early in the morning so around 12pm when we were about to leave the hospital there, all my friends (including me) were saying that we're very tired and were gonna sleep in the van on the way back to IMU. But somehow we didn't. We started talking about TV series, movies and all then suddenly the they started talking about the IMU Ball which was gonna happen on Saturday.
They suddenly asked me if I got my dress yet (assuming that I'm coming) but then I told them that I can't make it. They were like: "WHY?!?! IMU Ball is like the most happening event of the year!! What's so important that you're gonna skip it??"
So I had to explain to them that I'm going for Revo@Nilai, they were surprised and amazed at the same time cos they've never heard this kinda "excuse" before, they kept asking me questions and while I answered them, I got the chance to tell them all about the tours we've been to so far this year (KK and Miri), what we're about and why we do the tours. I also told them about church & Revo Conference and told them to come join us.
They sounded really excited and interested, some even commented, "Wah, your church so happening, like Rock Stars go on tour one ah?"
So yeah, God opens doors anywhere and anytime, as long as we're willing and obey, there are opportunities everywhere! =)"
