StanChart Singapore Marathon
I completed the StanChart Singapore Marathon yesterday in good time and it was very awesome! I have been able to connect with a handful of people and wearing my "Powered By Jesus" shirts did get a lot of attention! I could hear "Amen!" "Praise the Lord!" and many people ran alongside me and we encouraged one another. I had random strangers come up to me telling me how encouraged they were by the shirt and I was able to exchange contacts! The spirit of Team PBJ is the same everywhere I go - To draw men unto Him! The bigger picture would be to begin a Team PBJ team here in Singapore! And take the streets for Jesus! Pray with me for opportunities! There are already openings for me here!!
Working in Comwerks
Work has been simply amazing! Truly, I am blessed with a great job! Towards the end of my first week, we did a photo shoot of our company. I was privileged to art direct it and the pictures turned out really well! We had a lot of fun throughout the day shooting it!
I had a presentation earlier this week to PA (People's Association) and I saw His hand upon my work and great favor with my clients. Not only was the visual approved (with very minimal weeks!), I was able to make great advancements in expanding the client's openness towards social media (twitter, facebook, flickr...) According to my boss and the account servicing, they have been trying to sell such ideas previously but gave up! With this new project and such positive responses, there is an opportunity to do great work! All glory to God!
PA is a government agency that works on the grassroots to bring Singaporeans together by means of community activities. This is a big organization and impacts the community through unity building events. In the past 5 months of initial prayer before coming to Singapore, God gave me insights of the culture and way of life here and I have been able to take such revelations and bring it to work! All insights I have has made my concept a God idea! Not just a good idea! Only God could have revealed it to me, being an outsider. Praise the Lord!! Once again, He reminds me in His word, that the steps of a righteous man are ordered by Him! He gives wisdom when we humbly ask! Pray for me, as I continue to meet the clients at PA for discussions! Pray that me and my team will be able to deliver the work by 30th December and do it with such excellence!
God has laid upon my heart to start a prayer meeting at work. Pray with me for an open door!
I need clarity to the best time to ask my boss for permission. Keith, one of the bosses is a christian and I will approach him for advice on this. I have been able to identify at least another 4 christians in the office and desire to unite the body of Christ at my workplace! Every since the first week at work, I started playing Hillsongs, Actsperiment and the office is filled with his praise! Slowly, I got positive responses to the songs and we have been sharing songs every since!
Work is where I see God. It's a place of fulfillment. It is a place where I work with God and for God!
In the past three weeks, He has been teaching me to work for Him. The average North American spends some 88,000 hours on the job from the first day of full-time employment until retirement. In contrast, a dedicated Christian is estimate to spend as few as 4,000 hours over a lifetime in church meetings and church-related activities. He reminds me in my time together with Him. Church is not where ministry begins. It is where we are empowered to be ministers. My desire is to impact Comwerks and bring Him to my marketplace! I have a vision to see all 14 staff of mine in ACTS Church!
Like how Henry Nonwen puts it very appropriately..
"If I cannot find God in the middle of my work - where my concerns and worries, pains and joys are- it does not make sense to try to find Him in the hours set free at the periphery of my life."

For this season, He has brought me back, time and time again to this verse -
Slaves, obey your earthly ,masters in everything; and do it,
not only when their eye is on you and win their favor,
but with sincerity of heart and reverance for the Lord.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for men,
since you know that you will recieve an inheritance fromt he Lord a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:22-24
