Every Thursdays, some of the young working adults of Acts Church working in Cyberjaya and their colleagues & friends will meet for Power Group over lunch together. We come together to encourage and inspire each other to live like Jesus at our workplaces and to share about Him to those who don't know him yet.
During our Power Group today at "Where Else Delight" Cafe, Cyberjaya, one of my colleagues called on my mobile and sounded like she needed help but she said it's not urgent and asked me to meet with her after lunch.
So, after PG i went straight to find her. Her face looked very worried.
She told me that her daughter, Serene, has just been diagnosed of having H1N1. She wanted me to pray with her.
We went to the sick bay room which was quiet. As we sat on the bed, she started to tear.
She said that she tried calling many people - including her own church members but all of them said they were busy and will keep her in prayer. She said that she don't know why my name keep popping up to her early this month. Yesterday, she was surprised to receive a thank you email from me. I sent her that email coz i havn't thank her officially for her generous help and guidance when i was a Trainee under her supervision.
And lately she has also been feeling unwell physically - she had difficulty breathing and is on medication. Colleagues around her were jokingly making fun of her on the big amount of medication she was taking. She felt offended.
So, we prayed for healing her daughter and for peace for her and her family. Believing for a testimony!
She said now she felt much better and encouraged - found strength in God. She was looking for a prayer partner and she felt that God has sent me to my company for a purpose.
We will be arranging some time soon to pray together with some others from the company to pray as well.
There is definitely a purpose for all of us to be where we are for such a time as this!
All glory to God!
